Premier League Darts Profiles: Luke Littler

By Brad Williams

The Premier League of Darts is right around the corner, so let’s get to know the class of 2026.

Luke Littler is a generational talent; his impact on the sport in such a short space of time has been nothing short of incredible, pushing darts further into the mainstream spotlight, all whilst producing some of the best standards of darts the PDC has seen.

Having begun playing darts at just eighteen months old on a magnetic dart board, his talent was clear, as he supposedly hit his first 180 at the age of six. Littler only grabbed his Tour Card in 2024 and made his World Championship debut that same year, where he defied all expectations and made the final of the event. That was just the beginning, as he has gone on to dominate the sport, already adding ten PDC major titles to his name, which is fourth in the all-time list.

All before turning nineteen years old. His ridiculous resume already consists of winning the World Series of Darts Finals, World Matchplay, World Grand Prix, two Grand Slams, UK Open, Premier League of Darts, Players Championship Finals, and becoming the youngest ever World Champion in darts in 2025, and then becoming just the fourth player to win back-to-back World Championships after his 2026 triumph.

Outside of darts, Littler is known to be a WWE fan, which inspired his choice of walkout song “Greenlight” by Pitbull and Flo Rida, the theme song of WrestleMania 33, which Littler and his father attended in Florida.

‘The Nuke’ is also a lifelong supporter of Manchester United and has been spotted at games both home and away. Littler was recently made an honorary citizen in his hometown of Warrington due to his achievements in the sport, along with getting an MBE, alongside his World Cup of Darts teammate Luke Humphries last year, also for his contributions to darts.

This will be Littler’s third Premier League campaign, having won on debut in 2024 and finishing runner-up in 2025, breaking the records for the most nightly wins with six, and the highest league points tally with forty-five.
