There’ll be no beers shared between Michael van Gerwen and Luke Littler anytime soon.

The rivalry has been brewing ever since Littler stunned Van Gerwen to lift the World Darts Championship trophy in January.
No swift pints here
Despite Littler now being of legal drinking age, and partial to the odd Strongbow Dark Fruits according to Nathan Aspinall, the Dutch darting legend isn’t about to sit down for a pint with ‘The Nuke.’
In fact, he’s not interested in the slightest.
“I’ve never drunk a beer in my life,” Van Gerwen confessed to talkSPORT’s Hawksbee & Jacobs. “It’s disgusting.”
Littler loosening up
While ‘Mighty Mike’ may be keeping his glass empty, he admitted that Littler is beginning to relax more around the circuit.
“He starts to loosen up a bit, but not in that way,” Van Gerwen joked. “He starts to talk a little bit more, he interacts a little bit more. He’s a good kid with a lot of capability.”
But a cold one with the three-time world champion? That’s staying strictly off-limits.
