Gerwyn ‘The Iceman’ Price defeated Luke Humphries 4-2 in the final of Night 12 in Liverpool.
A 104.43 average in the final topped off a fantastic night in the North West for The Iceman, with Humphries posting a 102.64 but not proving enough as Price seemed to be in the grove.
A 155 checkout in Leg three from Cool Hand suggested the World Number One was ready to close the gap at the top of the table to two, however Price had different ideas, even posting a 151 himself to get level in the game at 3-3.
The nightly win lifts Price up to third in the table, and with just four weeks on play remaining the Welshman has every right to feel good about his chances of heading to London.
